With a database of 46,000+ wildflower species and 337,000+ quiz questions covering the entire United States, BloomEDU uses a scientifically-backed 7-interval spaced repetition algorithm to help nature enthusiasts — from casual hikers to serious botanists — build real, lasting plant identification skills.
Visual multiple-choice quizzes test identification across a variety of scopes: by US state, plant family, bloom season, or safety classification (toxic, edible, non-toxic). The spaced repetition system schedules reviews at increasing intervals — plants you miss come back in 1 minute, while mastered species are reviewed weekly — targeting 80–90% long-term retention with minimal study time.
Premium subscribers can import plant identifications directly from iNaturalist's Seek app via screenshot OCR.
