These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you ("User" or "you") and Skylark Creations LLC concerning your use of Sagent.
By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Sagent is an AI‑powered chatbot that delivers philosophical perspectives from historical figures. Content is for informational and entertainment purposes only and not professional medical, legal, or financial advice.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital consent age in your jurisdiction) and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your sign‑in credentials.

All App content, software, and trademarks are the property of Skylark Creations LLC or its licensors. We grant you a limited, non‑exclusive, revocable license to use the App for personal, noncommercial purposes.
You own your prompts. By submitting them, you grant us a worldwide, royalty‑free license to use, reproduce, and display them as needed to operate and improve the App. Subject to these Terms, you may use AI outputs for any lawful purpose, including commercial use, at your own risk of compliance with applicable laws.
Sagent integrates third‑party APIs (e.g., OpenAI). Your use is also governed by those providers’ terms. We are not responsible for third‑party content or services.
Sagent’s persona responses are produced by OpenAI’s model using Skylark Creations LLC’s proprietary prompts, editorial guidance, and publicly available information. No copyrighted text from Carl Sagan, Kurt Vonnegut, or any other author is stored in or served by the App. References to these individuals are purely nominative and do not imply endorsement or affiliation. We employ commercially reasonable measures to prevent the generation of verbatim excerpts from copyrighted works.
If you believe any content generated by the App infringes your rights, please send a detailed notice (subject line: "DMCA Takedown") to hello@skylarkcreations.com.
Sagent offers an optional subscription ("Premium Access") that unlocks unlimited daily questions and premium features. Pricing: $1.99/month (USD), subject to regional pricing and taxes. Purchases are processed by Apple via in‑app purchase and managed via RevenueCat for entitlement tracking.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation and automatically renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple account settings. If you cancel, you retain access to Premium until the current billing period ends. We do not provide partial refunds for unused time in the current period, except where required by law or Apple policy.
Free Tier: Non‑subscribers may use up to 5 questions per day. We may change free limits or pricing with notice. Promotional codes or scholarships have no cash value and may be subject to additional terms.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON‑INFRINGEMENT. USE OF THE APP IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SKYLARK CREATIONS LLC WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR REPUTATION, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.
You agree to indemnify and hold Skylark Creations LLC and its affiliates harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Upon termination, the license granted to you ends immediately.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, without regard to conflict‑of‑law rules. Any dispute shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Denver County, Colorado.
We may modify these Terms. Continued use after changes indicates acceptance. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, stop using the App.
